The 40th Biel Chess Festival took place between the 21st of July and 3rd of August 2007. 
Teimour Radjabov, Alexander Grischuk, Magnus Carlsen, Judit Polgar, Bu Xianghzi, Loek Van Wely, Alexander Onischuk, Alexander Motylev, Boris Avrukh, Yannick Pelletier participated in the grandmasters' tournament.
Magnus Carlsen beat Alexander Onischuk in the tie-breaks 3.0-2.0 and is the winner of the Grandmasters' Tournament.
